Al has competed in Pro SCCA, NASA, and CART, racing in the Formula Atlantic, Winston West, and Indy Lights Series. Al has 3 track records, 1 Professional Race Series Championship, 2 Divisional Championships, and has competed in the Pacific Road Racing Championship 4 times of which he has been on the podium 3 times. In his last 25 racing starts he has finished every race and has been on the podium 22 times. As a result, Al has 6 times been in the top 3 overall series championships in Pro, National, and Regional Championship Series. He was a Yokohama Tires test driver and was named to Valvoline’s All Star Race Team. He has been a driver observer for SCCA, IMSA, NASCAR, and CART.
